Sadie Amara Calvano has become famous for the role of Violet Plunkett that she played in CBS show Mom. Calvano originates from California and initially was attracted to gymnastics. Later, however, Calvano determined to pursue a career in acting. Her screen debut was in an episode in 2010 of CBS's 'NCIS. She made her big-screen debut within a year in the biographical drama film "J Edgar". Through the years, she's proven herself as one the most promising actors in the field. She was nominated in 2011 for a Young Artist Award in the category of Outstanding Performance for Young Actresses between 11 and 15 because of her performance in NCIS. The actress was also nominated 2013 for a Young Artist Award, this time because of her appearance as a guest in the comedy series of Disney XD 'Kickin' It'. Calvano was a key character in "Mom", the series in its first three seasons and also made appearances on several episodes of Season 4. She won the Gracie Allen Award in 2015 for Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star, thanks to her role in 'Mom.
