Kellie Martin (born Kellie Marien) is an acclaimed American actress. She's appeared in numerous TV series, including "Christy", a drama about a young woman known as Christy Huddleston. Additionally, she's well-known for her role as the lead for The Hailey Dean Mystery. Born to a department store owner and a kindergarten teacher Martin was able to begin her acting career in the age of seven years old when her aunt who served as an nanny to Michael Landon's children helped her land a guest spot in the 1982 series "Father Murphy". After graduating at Yale University she began to become serious about acting with roles that she was able to land on the small and large screen. Martin is a professional actor as well as an accomplished photographer and dancer has been in the business for the past twenty years. She is a mother of two. she is the national spokesperson for Lupus and has been informing people about the illness after her sister passed away from it at just 19.
